A recording of the solemn blessing of the 1925 Ingram Organ that was recently relocated to St Brigid’s  from Killin Church of Scotland in Perthshire.

The rite of blessing is based on a French tradition in which the priest addresses the instrument, calling upon it to awaken and sing the praises of God. The organ responds to invocations of the persons of the Blessed Trinity and the Blessed Virgin Mary as the organist improvises on related themes.
