This year we received an unusually small number of applications for the Sacraments.
It is clear that some families require more time to return to the fulfilment of their duties.
Children from practising families who have completed the required catechesis
in both school and parish can petition Fr Byrne to receive:
First Confession ON ANY SATURDAY
or
First Holy Communion AT ANY SUNDAY MASS
this coming year.
This model will replace the class-group model
which has been used in the parish for the last few years
(the previously published October date for 1st Communions is cancelled).
