The death of someone we love is a painful experience, and preparing for the funeral liturgy can be difficult. Here in St Brigid’s we will do all we can to make sure that the funeral is not only a space during which your Loved One is prayed for and shown the dignity s/he deserves, but also a time during which you, and all who have gathered in grief, may find some comfort and consolation. Be assured of the prayers and support of the parish community at all times, and that I will always do all I am able to do to help.
Below are some practical guidelines, which may be of use when organising your own funeral (in advance) or that of a relative or friend.
